Madrid - After having had to be canceled its launch due to this coronavirus pandemic, finally the capsule collection designed for H&M by the Indian designer Sabyasachi will hit the market this coming August 12, 2021. Composed of a wide selection of pieces designed for both
men and women, the "Sabyasachi x H&M" collection was announced
towards the end of last January 2020, with a view to reaching the market around
April 16 of that same year. Plans that finally jumped into the air, once
this coronavirus pandemic began to show itself as a much more serious and
worrying condition than many initially estimated. Causing in this
evolution that the launch of this capsule was suspended “sine díe”, which will
now finally be enjoyed by the followers of the Indian designer and the Swedish
fashion chain.
"I am happy to be able to broadcast this new date
for the launch of the collaboration with H&M, as it will finally provide us
with the opportunity to spread the Sabyasachi aesthetic to a much wider
audience, both in India and around the world." explains the Indian
designer himself through some statements released from the Swedish fashion
chain itself. “Due to the complexities derived from the situation caused
by Covid 19, we had to suspend its launch,” he explains, “and I can't wait to
share this ready-to-wear collection, whose pieces will be able to provide a relaxed
sophistication. to everyday life thanks to its discreet but glamorous style ”.

H&M Director of New Developments. "At a time like this, we
believe that people value the use of handcrafted textiles and practices more
than ever, and those are things that no one can do better than

collection to as many people around the world as we can."
From traditional kaftans to contemporary garments
The “Sabyasachi x H&M” capsule collection consists of
both clothing and accessories. Powerfully drawing attention both for the
richness of its textures and finishes, as well as for the striking colors of
its fabrics and patterns, thus becoming the true protagonists of the
collection.
Going into greater details, designed from a summery color
palette based on blues, browns and whites, with accents in green, red and
orange, we will find garments such as vests, pants, t-shirts, shirts and
jackets, specially designed for them. While on those same combinations of
tones and patterns, a long series of pieces such as pants, flowing dresses,
T-shirts and blouses will be made available to the female public. Taking
care of completing this capsule, different garments as typical of the traditional
Indian culture of clothing such as caftans, as well as a wide collection of
accessories, including scarves and bracelets, to sandals, slippers, earrings,
pendants, rings or different models of bags.

inspired by the rich textile and handicraft history of India, combining
different silhouettes and modern and traditional shapes, with fresh

made on this occasion by the Sabyasachi Art Foundation", a social
institution founded by the designer himself as a tribute to his artist mother.
